Development of key technologies in terms of process and equipment on gold extraction from refractory high-arsenic and high-carbon gold ore through pressure oxidation (POX)-cyanidation
The adaptability of pressure oxidation and its corresponding chemical mechanism on refractory gold ores, such as carbon- and arsenic-bearing gold ore (Carlin type), high-copper and high-arsenic gold ore and antimony-bearing and high-arsenic gold ore, have been developed. The international technical barriers have been successfully broken through. Therefore, the pressure oxidation pretreatment process has been applied in China's gold industry for the first time. In 2016, the first domestic pressure oxidation pretreatment process with a daily capacity of 450 tons of refractory gold orehas been built in Guizhou. The annual revenue of the demonstration plant was over 800 million Chinese yuan, and the technologies have reached an international advanced level. Meanwhile, in the R&D process, a technical team with solid theoretical foundation and enriched industrial experience has been established, and a number of core technologies equipped with intellectual property rights were innovated. Through the execution of thesefeature technologies, it has improved the technological level on the treatment of refractory sulfide gold ores in China. At present, Guizhou Zijin is carrying out the industrial design for the second phaseexpansion of pressurized oxidation plant. There have been 21 relevant patents applied with 12 patents authorized. The POX-cyanidation process and technologies won the first prize of science and technology progress award issued by China Gold Association in 2018 and the second prize of science and technology progress award of Fujian Province in 2019.
