Study on the bulk mineralogy and gold occurrence of PekiCu-Au mine in Serbia
The Cu-Au mine upper zone in Peki project has two distinct ores, one with high sulfur content but low copper content, the other one with both high sulfur and copper content. Mineralogical study shows that native gold content in these two kinds of ores is 16.3% and 19.9%, respectively. On the other hand, duringflotation test, somenative gold lost, resulting ina much lower Au recovery than predictionby mineralogy.Meanwhile coarsenative gold particles were found in copper tailings and pyrite concentrate.As a result, the project team adjusted flowsheet accordingly and achieved a desired recovery of gold.
